PEDIATRIC CANCER AWARENESS MONTH ROUND-UP
$40,400.
That’s the average cost per hospital stay for patients with childhood cancer. No family should have to climb their way out of medical debt, but that’s the harsh reality of pediatric cancer’s presence in the United States.
At Hari Mari, we see these statistics as motivation for bringing positivity and hope to those in the fight for their lives. September is National Childhood Cancer Awareness month, and we had the opportunity to spread the word, thanks to our Flops Fighting Cancer initiative!
From our quarterly Flop Drop at Cook Children’s Medical Center,
To our inaugural Flops Fighting Cancer Day, where thanks to our incredible customers, like YOU, we were able to donate all profits from the day to our Flops Fighting Cancer initiative,
To filming a new Flops Fighting Cancer video with the incredible Emme & her sweet family,
To rounding out the month in Chicago with Jon Lester’s pediatric cancer organization, NVRQT! We teamed up with NVRQT at Wrigley Field to celebrate twenty kiddos and their families currently battling cancer diagnoses at the Cubs vs. Reds game; where before the game, the kids were brought out on the field for batting practice, for an experience like no other!
The Golden Month of September may have officially come to a close, but that doesn’t mean the spirit and strength of National Pediatric Cancer Awareness month will fade!
