Sage Erickson and Daniel Norris Join Hari Mari as Brand Ambassadors

That’s why we’re beyond stoked to announce our newest brand ambassadors—California-based pro surfer Sage Erickson and MLB veteran-turned-surfboard shaper Daniel Norris. This power couple perfectly represents the sun-and-sea lifestyle at the heart of Hari Mari, and we couldn’t be more excited to have them on board.

A Perfect Fit for Hari Mari

Sage Erickson has been making waves in the surfing world since 2012, competing in the World Surf League and claiming two US Open of Surfing titles in 2017 and 2019. Born in Ojai, California, she’s a fierce competitor and a true ambassador of the surf lifestyle. Meanwhile, Daniel Norris made headlines in the MLB for his talent on the mound, but his off-the-field adventures—like living in a VW van and chasing waves up and down the California coast—are what truly align him with Hari Mari’s adventurous spirit.

“Daniel and Sage embody the surf lifestyle and ethos,” said Hari Mari Founder Lila Stewart. “Hari Mari’s name literally means sun and sea, and who could better serve as the face of our brand than a champion surfer and a surfboard maker? They’re both incredible humans and we’re beyond thrilled and super proud to have them on board, wearing our products, and a part of our ambassador team.”

A Partnership That Makes Perfect Sense

The couple, who married in 2023 after meeting on Instagram, have spent their lives navigating the demands of professional sports while staying true to their passions. Now, they call the California coast home, where they split their time between surfing, gardening, and crafting custom surfboards in Daniel’s workshop.

“I’ve been a fan of Hari Mari since long before we came across the opportunity to work together,” said Norris. “It’s always been important to work with brands I truly believe in, so this collaboration feels like a really perfect match.”

Sage’s introduction to the brand was a little different—she discovered Hari Mari through Daniel but was instantly hooked. “As soon as I met the owners and their team, I knew the product would be just as great as they are,” she shared. “The sandals are a perfect blend of comfort, style, and durability—once you put them on, you’ll never want to take them off.”
