SAYULITA SUMMER
Nestled on the outskirts of the Sierra Madre Occidental mountain range, and an hour's drive up the coast from Puerto Vallarta is the endearing beach town & bustling cultural center of Sayulita.
Meaning many different things to many different people, Sayulita at any given time is one of Mexico's most-loved surf spots, a teeming yoga retreat, an outdoor adventure destination, food mecca, and ground zero for beach culture on Mexico's Pacific coast, BUT for stand-up paddle boarder & long-time Hari Mari friend Shelby Rose Taylor, Sayulita is just home.
Our paths first crossed on Shelby’s search for a flip flop as versatile as the Sayulita landscape — one that’s as at home in the water as it is on morning hikes, walks through town, sun baked days on the beach, and cool nights out with friends ... and everywhere in-between. Her search ended with Hari Mari flip flops, and we've been simpatico ever since.
And, we were fortunate to spend some time with Shelby in Sayulita, getting our first glimpse of the amazing town and its even more-amazing people, kicking off our own Sayulita Summer.
